  1. The Arizona Coral snake belongs to the same family of snakes as the cobras of Africa and Asia, and drop-for-drop its venom is very potent.

  3. But its a small, retiring snake with little inclination to confront enemies. And its mouth too small to engage all but the smallest finger!

  5. The bigger Eastern coral snake, though (which doesn't occur in Arizona), is a very different kettle of fish! Take a look at one on the satellite.
